It isn't implemented yet as they're busy working on other things. Listen servers ARE going to be an option, in the future. Local hosting should ALWAYS be an option, especially for a game like this. I've always hated playing with randoms, and I definitely don't want to setup and pay for my own private server. I totally agree, it's getting really frustrating trying to play this game when you get better and better at it and you get people joining who have no idea what they are doing, and get everyone killed in the process. Also we want to try different strats but can't when rando's join the game. most of the time they're no where near our level (too high or too low) and it ruins the game for us because if we do well we feel like its because the guy we're playing with is a super high level. I feel like it's becoming a common thing. It's insane to me that developers are taking away private servers and private hosting options for players. Once I got the hang of the game design and gameplay, I fell in.
